Cheerleading

Last year we went to Illinois College's (Seth's alma mater) Homecoming with Sienna. My grandmother made her a cheerleading outfit since the bookstore quit carrying them.

She was adorable:

This year I tried the same outfit on (I figured it would fit, I just didn't know how well):

Needless to say...she has certainly gotten taller, but that is about it! Seth thinks we should put a onesie on her no matter what (I'm going for it only if we need long-sleeves) What do you think?

Sidenote: Please overlook the fact that my child is totally ignoring the camera (Kai-lan was on-thank goodness for the DVR)

Writing on the Wall

Sienna discovered that she could write on the fridge this morning. She decided that she wrote "Senna" several times. Notice the shirt that grannie Susie bought her.

Sidenote: The new mascot for the democratic party is the cow (she refuses to acknowledge that it is a donkey-"no mommy, dat a cow")

Morning Pics

So...I took these pictures a couple of weeks ago and keep forgetting to add them to the blog. Sienna has a very specific morning routine...
1) wake up
2) sit on the potty and eat a bar-bar (breakfast bar) or yogos while watching DVDs until mommy is ready for me in the shower.
3) shower
4) 'put clothes on'
5) take a pill (vitamin)
6) leave for school

She always smiles like this when a smile is requested:

This says it all

Now I know how my child got herself stuck in the foam potty ring:

Yamas

Sienna has loved yamas (llamas) since my mother took her to a llama farm several months ago. She says, 'hey buddy, yama' all the time...well, we prompt her (and she has a stuffed llama). This weekend she went to another llama farm open house and got to meet some of the llamas up close!

Staring down the baby llama:

Come back buddy llamas:

Oh buddy yama:

Do NOT let me go:

I guess I will touch it:

You expect ME to hold this?!?! That thing is TALL:

Now what do I do:

Riverfest and Fish

This weekend was my hometown's fall festival (Sienna called it a 'like-a-fair')...which REALLY sucked this year. I was upset that we forgot the camera...until we got there. Last year some kids had done quite a bit of damage to some of the rides before the festival started so half the rides were jerked before it even started. This year the only 'rides' were those blow up bouncy things that Sienna is too little to go on (they had climbing and MUCH bigger kids on them). Appartenly the town had also changed their liquor law and that meant that only one area was designated to drink (which was also the area with the band) and that no one under 18 was allowed in the tent after 8:00. Therefore, Sienna had absolutely nothing to do! We did get her a tattoo...it's a guitar, but Sienna is convinced it is a banjo. She calls it her 'like-a-banjo.'

My mom bought Sienna one of those rocking angelfish at a garage sale last weekend and Sienna just loves it!

No Words

Sienna came up to me last night asking for help...this is what I saw:

She had somehow gotten herself stuck in the foam ring that goes on the seat of her potty. Now I have heard of children needing to 'explore' their potty...but this went a little far. I could see how she got it over her head but not how she got her arm in there...it wasn't easy to get her out either!

Babies

Sienna has moved on from her Little People to babies. She has begun naming them (instead of just calling them baby). She named one after one of my friends, one after herself, one after me and one after daddy. She also kept telling me the name of one and I couldn't figure it out-she kept saying Chriscinda...finally I remembered that the doll's given name was Kass Kendra. I told her that about two weeks ago (when she decided that she would name it after her-well, at the time). I was so surprised when she remembered that!!

So...meet all her friends:

Sidenote: Many of us find Sienna's Sienna doll to be particularly scary. My mother found her and she is technically Hawaiian, but we get what we can find around here. Also, you can tell that we have tried to provide Sienna with plenty of dolls that look like her as well as dolls that she chooses from the store.

Sip Sops

Sienna decided she wanted to try to wear daddy's 'sip sops.' She was walking around when she informed us she wanted her picture taken.

Re-Adoption Day!!

In Illinois it is easier to re-adopt in order to change names and get birth certificates (we could do an administrative birth certificate but it was just easier in the long run to re-adopt). My father put this all into action, but with pressures mounting at work he hired us and adoption attorney to finish out the process. Sienna had lots of people attend her re-adoption ceremony and truly enjoyed herself (well, after she had too wait and then sit still on my lap during the hearing...she even hugged a random lawyer entering the court room for the next hearing as we were leaving). Here are some random pics from our day:

Now seriously...I have to wait more?!?!?!
