New dress

I have recently begun to take sewing lessons from my grandmother. She was a home ec teacher, so she is perfect for helping me! I have graduated from blankets (well, sewing the squares together) to the pillowcase dress. I made it all by myself on Wednesday and Sienna wore it on Thursday. She looked SO cute!! Well, except for the fact that she insisted on wearing green shoes and a purple "hairband" that she put in herself)

Bump in the night

Well...we went to a wedding on 7-5 and Sienna was the belle of the ball! She was dancing up a storm (in the middle of a circle of people). That is until she met some boys...They started growling at her and she thought that it was the funniest thing on earth. She ran and begged them to chase her. It was all fun and games until somebody got hurt...Sienna. I was on the dance floor waiting for her to complete her chasing cirlce when I look over and see her crying hysterically and running to me. I picked her up and asked what happened; she said "bump chair." I asked her if she wanted me to kiss it; she said "yes" and pointed to her forehead...I thought I would die!!! There I see the fastest goose egg I have ever seen that is already bruising! The worst part is that now that it is going down...the more purple the bruise is. Here it is on Friday morning:

See that there is still a bump! As you can tell, Little People DVDs are Sienna's favorite! See Sonya Lee in the background.

Fireworks

So...Springfield tried the whole close proximity fireworks last night and it did NOT work well. Hardly anyone could see them since there are buildings and trees downtown! We were very disappointed. Sienna loved the fireworks last year, but she spent this year on me alternating saying, "no like it," and, "cool!" She later told us, "fireworks, pssssst. I lub 'em!"

Pre-fireworks

So, we had quite the disappointing fireworks experience last night, but that didn't stop Sienna from having a blast dancing to the band! She was even recognized by the band as "the most patriotic one there!"
