Zoo

We took the kids to the zoo on Saturday and they had a blast (well, Ahren didn't cry so that constitutes excitement). Sienna got to play in the bouncy house and on the playground. She did tell us that she did not want to feed the "ghostes" (goats) so we avoided them.

How Ahren spent the trip to the zoo:

*Thanks for bearing with me while I try to figure out how I want to put my posts on the blog. At the end of each year I have been turning this blog into a photobook for Sienna and now that we have Ahren I would like to do that for each of them (without having to have two blogs). I have been trying to decide the easiest way to do that (without having two identical books where half of it doesn't pertain to that child), but my sleep deprived brain has been lacking good ideas. I promise I will get the hang of it all eventually!

Proud big sister

Sienna loves to play with Ahren - she is always wanting to hold him and has started asking us to lay him down so she can talk to him (she will just keep saying "yep" in a variety of tones) which he seems to really enjoy! She also loves to kiss him and will do so about every 15 minutes.

Ahren - Three Weeks

Ahren has been doing very well. He's been getting better at sleeping at night and is doing better when we put him in his swing or bouncy seat while we eat or give Sienna some quality play time. We have also introduced him to his baby gym. Here are a few pics from the past couple of days.

This is absolutely my new favorite picture:

Llama Farm 2009

My mother took my nephew, Clay, and Sienna to a local llama farm in March. I just got copies of the pictures and they were too cute so I figured I should post some. There were also fainting goats, but they refused to faint.

Introducing

Introducing...Ahren's belly button! His umbilical cord stump fell off last night to reveal a perfect little innie (Sienna has a cute outie).

Sienna wanted to help feed him this afternoon, so we got the boppy ready and gave her the bottle. She did very well!

Ducks

The weather warmed up today, but it was still beautiful. We bought some bread and headed over to the park to feed the ducks. Sienna thought it was really fun!

Look, it's right there:

After we were done with the ducks (they actually decided they were done with us) we headed to the playground.

Ahren slept the whole time:

Sienna wanted me to take her picture, but she wouldn't look at me:

Sienna decided that even though Ahren was sleeping he needed a stick wand:

Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Shortcake was at the water park today and Sienna was very excited to get to meet her!! I am glad to report that Sienna may be over her fear of mascots/people dressed in character costumes. There was also a clown making balloon animals/flowers/wands and a face painter - this made up for the water temperature being next to freezing!

Showing off her face paint and flower:

She kept smelling the flower:

Hugs (kinda):
