Christmas Service at Church
Sienna was an angel in the church program. This involved sitting and listening to a story and then singing songs while wearing a white cape and halo headband (to which she quickly became attached). She enjoyed the attention.

Winter singing
Sienna's school sang winter songs last week in the lobby of the building (also the building that Seth and I work in). We got to see both performances (at least she wasn't picking her nose during the second)!

News
As many have noticed I have kinda been slacking in my posting...nothing for a month and then five posts to cover everything that has happened. There has been a reason...for starters I am exhausted and could go to sleep at 6pm every night (not that Sienna would let me).
Before anyone starts to think that I need to see a doctor, I have. Today marks my 12th week into my first pregnancy! I have not had morning sickness and except for being extremely tired and feeling ravenous I have felt pretty good. Seth is quite upset at the breast tenderness, but he will get over it!
I have begun to get very upset at the comments of people around us. Many just do not THINK before they open their mouths. The main comment I get is, "that is wonderful, you adopted and now you are pregnant...that is always the way it goes." The sad part is that I have gotten this comment from people that KNOW Sienna's adoption had NOTHING to do with trying to conceive! This is something that I explain to them and then walk off. I got this from several people at the mall; one in Vi*ctoria's Secret while explaining my need for new bras and one at the ornament stand after buying a personalized family ornament with "Seth, Sarah, Sienna and Baby" put on it. This woman even went into detail about how she hopes it happens that way for her sister (who could get pregnant but couldn't stay pregnant and has since moved on and adopted). Why do people see Sienna as a second choice to conception? She was anything but and I hope to stress that to her if she start to understand these thoughtless comments.
One of my other 'favorites' is, "now you will have one of your own." What does this mean?!?! I just want to hit them and walk off. I have tried to be nice and curtly say that Sienna is mine and move along (quickly), but I am getting frustrated and am sick of people!! What makes them think they can randomly talk to me about my family? I also had someone comment that, "now you know the plumbing works." Where they serious????
The sad part is that while I do have a little bit of a belly (it is currently just a protective layer of fat that has shifted from other parts of my body and is making my jeans cry) I have not gained any weight yet (certainly not for lack of eating-as previously mentioned) and dread the comments I will get when I start to show and people that I am not even talking to decided that they have a right to comment.

Gymnastics
It has been a while since we took some pics at gymnastics. We got a couple of really cute ones last Tuesday-she just loves to play! The only bad part is that they scheduled two classes in the same room at the same time so we have to rotate being in the regular room and the dance room. Sienna loves the dance room-mommy doesn't. There is a floor-to-ceiling mirror for her to watch herself (let's just say that if she cannot watch herself in the mirror while doing something it typically doesn't happen)!!

We were on our way to a party when Sienna decided she needed her picture taken...several times.
Thanksgiving
We had a hectic Thanksgiving (driving from house to house) but Sienna had a blast!! She hardly had a nap (less than an hour during transit) but held out like a champ. She didn't eat much at either meal, but enjoyed running between all of the family members.

Halloween
Sienna eventually gave in and decided (at the last minute) that she liked her costume. She really enjoyed walking around and telling everyone, "trick or treating!" Seeing her bucket fill with candy was an added bonus. Here are the pics I took of her at my grandma's house:
IC Homecoming
Sienna really enjoyed Homecoming at Illinois College this year (not that she didn't have a blast last year). She had fun picking up candy during the parade and then showing off to all of Seth's friends.
Seth won (for a little while) and Sienna wore a onesie under her cheerleading outfit.

She got beads without having to show anything! Thanks to the Rhoers (daddy's frat brothers)
Sienna LOVED dancing to the band at the alumni tent. She conned someone out of some pom-pons and went at it full force. And mommy won later on as it got REALLY hot!

Halloween...
Sienna decided a while ago that she wanted to be a butterfly and I just got around to ordering it. Sienna is very hard to fit and I thought the smaller size would not fit her in the arms, so it is a little big. My grandma Ellen and I will be doing some minor adjustments at our next sewing lesson.

Bubbles
Seth and I both have iPhones and I downloaded an app that is just for Sienna. It is called Bubbles and she can make and pop bubbles on the thouch screen. She decided that she wanted to do that the other night. She looks so involved:

Clothes
While we were waiting for Sienna I was finishing up my degree and doing my 400 hours of fieldwork and working retail. I was working at a children's boutique with the CUTEST clothes! They closed shortly after we brought Sienna home. Needless to say I bought a lot of clothes for future use. We tried some of them on the other night:

Swimming lessons
We have had swimming lessons on Monday's since the beginning of September. Sienna has been doing very well!!
