Sip Sops
Sienna decided she wanted to try to wear daddy's 'sip sops.' She was walking around when she informed us she wanted her picture taken.

Re-Adoption Day!!
In Illinois it is easier to re-adopt in order to change names and get birth certificates (we could do an administrative birth certificate but it was just easier in the long run to re-adopt). My father put this all into action, but with pressures mounting at work he hired us and adoption attorney to finish out the process. Sienna had lots of people attend her re-adoption ceremony and truly enjoyed herself (well, after she had too wait and then sit still on my lap during the hearing...she even hugged a random lawyer entering the court room for the next hearing as we were leaving). Here are some random pics from our day:

Checking things out from the ATV:

What on earth am I 'holding'?

What am I doing?!?!

The signs says it all:

The dragon didn't really fit all that well...maybe it would be better if mom wasn't there with me:

Mom made me 'milk' the cow...well, mom made me touch the udder while the cowboy milked the cow...whatever, I still hated it!!

I LOVED the skyride!!

The Illinois State Fair Twilight Parade
To prepare Sienna for the parade we told her that people would be throwing candy...well, when we got there Sienna was quite angry to realize that the candy would not be thrown directly into her mouth! It's all about her!!! She truly enjoyed the marching bands (as do most children) and the fire engines (she thought her Little People Maggie was on a fire engine-there is an episode where Maggie tries being a firefighter).

Long Time, no post
It has been a while so I have a few posts to catch up on. The first is from our time at Bible School. My mom taught the youngest class (technically ages 3-5) but Sienna was allowed to come if I stayed (my 6-year-old nephew also weaseled his way into this class. Sienna really enjoyed seeing her 'ama' at church and singing the Bible School songs...she still sings "Hallelujah" to this day!

New dress
I have recently begun to take sewing lessons from my grandmother. She was a home ec teacher, so she is perfect for helping me! I have graduated from blankets (well, sewing the squares together) to the pillowcase dress. I made it all by myself on Wednesday and Sienna wore it on Thursday. She looked SO cute!! Well, except for the fact that she insisted on wearing green shoes and a purple "hairband" that she put in herself)

Bump in the night
Well...we went to a wedding on 7-5 and Sienna was the belle of the ball! She was dancing up a storm (in the middle of a circle of people). That is until she met some boys...They started growling at her and she thought that it was the funniest thing on earth. She ran and begged them to chase her. It was all fun and games until somebody got hurt...Sienna. I was on the dance floor waiting for her to complete her chasing cirlce when I look over and see her crying hysterically and running to me. I picked her up and asked what happened; she said "bump chair." I asked her if she wanted me to kiss it; she said "yes" and pointed to her forehead...I thought I would die!!! There I see the fastest goose egg I have ever seen that is already bruising! The worst part is that now that it is going down...the more purple the bruise is. Here it is on Friday morning:

See that there is still a bump! As you can tell, Little People DVDs are Sienna's favorite! See Sonya Lee in the background.

Fireworks
So...Springfield tried the whole close proximity fireworks last night and it did NOT work well. Hardly anyone could see them since there are buildings and trees downtown! We were very disappointed. Sienna loved the fireworks last year, but she spent this year on me alternating saying, "no like it," and, "cool!" She later told us, "fireworks, pssssst. I lub 'em!"

Sienna's Birthday Pics
Sorry these have been so long in coming...I just seem to be tired all the time. Maybe it's the calls from work at 12:30 am...who knows.
Sienna LOVED her "peepyil" cake! She is utterly obsessed. She got so many toys and had SO much fun with everyone at the house to see HER! Hopefully I will have more pics soon as my in-laws are making us a CD of the pics they took (our camera sucks and we were so busy). I was bummed since we couldn't play outside on her cool new outdoor toys (which she calls her "ground"). My fave is her rollercoaster...it really helps when we need to work in the yard!!
